a productive spring break

so far, this spring break has been very productive. that this holiday has been so productive thus far makes up for the fact that it is not what i had planned at all. this holiday was supposed to be a culinary tour of los angeles. i had hoped to stage at a few different places down there, but that plan had to be shelved. instead, i've been able to arrange three very promising stages at some great restaurants around napa. a few friends and i had a little catering job that went very well. one of my good friends is coming to visit from los angeles, and i think i might be able to hammer out my whole entire restaurant thesis/8 course menu. here's to staying productive.

oyster po' boys

oyster po' boys have to be one of my favorite things ever. they almost always sound like a good idea. i went to hog island today in oxbow to satisfy the craving that i had all day, and it was great. the concept of a oyster place is a good one and one i completely support. that being said. i'm going to attempt to come up with a killer oyster po' boy, so if anyone has any tips, let me know. i'll let you know how it goes.

perhaps a new beginning

so i started this blog about a year ago, but i never utilized it. seeing as i spend so much time looking at different food blogs and sites, i figure this can be my little food outlet as well. right now, i'm in the middle of culinary school. perhaps, i can use this site as a way to keep track of culinary attempts and ideas. here's to good eating and good times
